One of the most famous flavor combinations has joined forces to create this delicious, rich, and zesty smoothie bowl. This creamy Chocolate Orange Smoothie Bowl is packed with vitamin C, antioxidants, fiber, and several nutrients. Plus, this easy smoothie bowl recipe is plant-based and only takes 5 minutes to make.

Always opt for organic ingredients.

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 1 frozen navel orange
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk

Optional toppings

  1. Add: To begin, add the non-dairy milk, cacao powder, creamy peanut butter, frozen orange, and the frozen banana, to a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend: Starting on a low speed, use a tamper to help ingredients blend. Pausing & scraping down sides of the blender as needed. If necessary, add additional non-dairy milk in 1/4 cup increments, until a thick, smooth texture is achieved.
  3. Serve: Then, transfer your chocolate smoothie to a chilled bowl. Garnish with cacao nibs, chocolate covered chia seeds, fresh orange slices, chocolate peanut butter granola, and coconut flakes, if desired. Enjoy!

  • Use a frozen banana and frozen orange to achieve a thick consistency.
  • Start with a little liquid as possible, and add more only as needed. You can always add more, but once you add too much, you can’t go back! Pausing in between blending to scrape down sides helps as well.
  • Use a high speed blender, with a tamper, to ensure that your smoothie bowl achieves a thick and creamy texture.
  • Place your serving bowl in the freezer before you begin preparing this recipe and remove it when smoothie is ready. This will ensure that your smoothie bowl stays cold as you enjoy it.
  • Cacao powder can be substituted with cocoa powder or vegan chocolate protein powder.
  • Creamy peanut butter can be replaced with your favorite nut or seed butter.
